Henk van der Linde
Henk van der Linde graduated and received his Bachelor of Science at the Dr Ir. W.L. Gijsen Institute, Utrecht, The Netherlands, in 1989. Thereafter, he joined the faculty of the Department of Pharmacology and Pathophysiology at the University of Utrecht from 1989 until 1997, and investigated virus-induced airways inflammation and hyperresponsiveness in guinea-pigs in vitro and in vivo, supported by the Dutch Asthma Foundation. In 1997, he joined the Center of Excellence for Cardiovascular Safety Research & Mechanistic Pharmacology at Janssen Research and Development, pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson in Belgium, where he is now study director of the anaesthetized large animal group. He is a member of the Safety Pharmacology Society and published pioneering papers on QT instability [J. Pharmacol. Toxicol. Methods (2005) 52, 168-177], the QT versus body temperature relationship [Br. J. Pharmacol. (2008) 154, 1474-1481] and the electro-mechanical window [Br. J. Pharmacol. (2010) 161, 1444-1454].
